Why Choose This Course?
During this short course, we are going to explore ways in which rocks are created, and the way that we use them in our everyday lives. We are going to look at ‘the rock cycle’ which explains exactly how every rock in the world is on a very long and arduous journey which may take hundreds of millions of years.
By the end of this course, we want children to understand precisely how rocks are created and how they may hold the secrets of the past within their structure. We want your children to see rocks as more than just inanimate objects lying around on the ground. We want to open up the world of history, ancient civilisations and the evolution of life, by discovering how rocks hold the secrets to a time long since gone!
