Rewild Your World

Real Science,

Real Responsibility,

Real Impact

Why Choose This Course?

Rewild Your World is designed to help young children build a relationship with the natural world around them. Inspired by the life and work of Jane Goodall, the course shows children that helping nature begins with slowing down, being gentle and paying attention.

Children are invited to choose a small rewilding challenge and engage with it for 1 month. Through this experience, they learn that nature grows slowly, living things need patience, and small caring actions can make a real difference.

This course does not rush children or ask for perfect results. It creates space for noticing, caring and trying whilst developing a plethora of future focused skills such as determination, empathy and resilience.

Learning Goals

Understanding Rewilding

Children are introduced to rewilding as caring for nature in simple, practical ways. They learn that rewilding can be as small as planting a seed, caring for a plant, or making a safe space for an animal or insect.

Learning Through Jane Goodall

Children learn about Jane Goodall and how she cared for chimpanzees by being calm, patient and respectful. Through literacy and creative arts, they explore how her gentle approach helped animals feel safe and why kindness matters when caring for living things.

Noticing and Observation

Children are encouraged to watch closely and notice small changes over time. They may observe a seed growing, an insect arriving or a plant changing. What matters is noticing, not outcomes.

Creative Recording of Learning

Children record their experiences in their Rewild Your World booklet in ways that suit them. This may include drawing, simple marks, photographs or talking with an adult about what they noticed and did.

Caring for Living Things

Children practice caring for something over several weeks. They begin to understand that caring means returning each day, being gentle and taking responsibility in small, manageable ways.
