Upschool's 'Skills for Tomorrow' Diploma helps K–2 children develop six essential skills through inspiring real-life stories, purposeful activities, discussion and reflection.
Over six months, children explore Determination, Collaboration, Responsibility, Problem-Solving, Leadership and Empathy, learning from six remarkable people who demonstrated these qualities in their lives. At the end of the programme, children receive the Skills for Tomorrow Diploma, endorsed by Upschool and Montessori Australia.
Learning Goals
Develop Essential Life Skills: Build an understanding of Determination, Collaboration, Responsibility, Problem-Solving, Leadership and Empathy, and learn how these skills can be used in everyday life.
Speaking & Listening: Share ideas, listen to others, discuss choices and experiences, and develop the confidence to express thoughts and reflections.
Creative Expression: Explore the six skills through drawing, making, storytelling, challenges and other creative learning experiences.
Exploring Real Lives: Learn from the stories of Usain Bolt, Nelson Mandela, Sir David Attenborough, Marie Curie, Amelia Earhart and Florence Nightingale, and discover how their actions demonstrate the six Skills for Tomorrow.
