This project helps students understand and respect cultural differences, fostering a more inclusive mindset. In Week 10, they will receive certificates for their hard work.
This week, you’re almost there! We’re going to use everything you’ve learned about your chosen culture to plan a presentation. You’ll use this to teach another class about the amazing, diverse world we live in and why we should celebrate diversity.
Before you start designing your slide deck, read through your book again. Remind yourself of all the knowledge you’ve gained. Think about the cultural practices, traditions, and daily life aspects you’ve learned about.
As you prepare your presentation, focus on what makes your chosen culture unique and why it’s important to appreciate and respect these differences.
This week, your goal is to create an interesting and informative slide deck that shows what you’ve learned. You’ll be teaching another class about the wonderful diverse world out there and why we should celebrate diversity. Make your presentation engaging and educational.
Remember, in Week 10, you’ll get your certificate for all your hard work! Good luck, and have fun with your project!
Create - Designing Your Own Lesson
This activity challenges students to independently explore the history of world religions using a set of provided questions. Drawing from diverse sources, students will compile detailed insights to enhance a new book chapter. The emphasis is on promoting autonomous learning and synthesizing information from varied perspectives.
Use the questions on the task card provided to help you start designing your own slide deck that will enable you to teach another group of children about your chosen culture or civilisation.
Make your design catchy and engaging, and be sure to practice presenting the lesson to someone else before standing in front of your new students.
You have conducted a lot of research over the last few weeks, and this week you can put it to good use and spread your new knowledge far and wide.
Click the template provided to get started planning your very own lesson. Remember to make it bright and colourful and include lots of interesting facts.
