Resources for Schools to Share With Parents
Having the entire community on board whilst we embark on projects such as these is crucial. The average child spends almost 540 hours per month at home, compared with only 140 at school. This means that having the parents and carers aligned with the school’s goal not only benefits the child, but the whole community.
To assist schools with this alignment, we have created a sample email that can be sent home to families in your community. This text is designed to encourage them to register for an account and thus, access the relevant parent resources and can be found below:
Please copy and paste the following text (sample email) to encourage parents to create an account on the Upschool platform:
‘Dear Families,
The students and teachers here at (Insert School Name) have recently enrolled on a course on the upschool.co platform. The course is designed to bring real work learning to the fingertips of our students. Allowing them to make a tangible difference in the world whilst developing the most essential skills for life, such as confidence, resilience, leadership and independence.
The maximise the impact of this endeavour, we request that parents and carers create a user account. This will allow you to access parent resources and videos to bring together the classroom and the home environment.
When teachers and parents, work in alignment, and our community works together, our students are surrounded by support, advice and encouragement no matter where they sit on the learning journey.
